clipLinearMapToInterval Method
Clip this range to a linear half space condition
- if
limitA > limitB
the limit space is empty- make this range null
- return false;
- otherwise (i.e
limitA <= limitB
)- solve
a + u * f = limitA' and
a + u * f = limitA` - if unable to solve (i.e. u near zero),
a
alone determines whether to (a) leave this interval unchanged or (b) reduce to nothing. - the
f
values are an interval in the space of thisRange1d
- restrict the range to that interval (i.e intersect existing (low,high) with the fraction interval.
- return true if the range is non-null after the clip.
- solve
clipLinearMapToInterval(a: number, u: number, limitA: number, limitB: number): boolean
Returns - boolean
